Inclusion Done Right!
Optimizing Community-based Inclusion for Children with Disabilities
Friday, October 20, 2023

This first-of-its-kind conference seeks to establish an integrated bridge between Stony Brook University and community partners to promote inclusive recreation and leisure that aligns with best practices and optimizes participation for children with disabilities.  The intended audience is multi-leveled, consisting of university faculty and staff, community-based program providers and administrators, as well as children with disabilities and their families/caregivers.  Stony Brook University aims to be a collaborative knowledge broker alongside community partners in order to promote and optimize inclusive practice…'Done Right!'

Stony Brook University faculty and the keynote speakers, who are recognized experts in the field, will present on the topic of inclusive leisure and recreation.  A one-hour poster session is included in the schedule.
