Tuition Assistance

To help with tuition and fees associated with this program, students can seek scholarship opportunities such as the Platinum Scholarship or scholarships listed on the School of Health Professions Scholarship Opportunities page. Veterans and Service Members may also qualify for assistance through GI Bill benefits.

GI Bill Benefits

Veterans and Service Members who qualify for GI Bill benefits may be able to apply their benefits to help with the cost of tuition, as well as books and supplies. The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs determines an individual's eligibility, rates, and housing allowances and publishes that information to their website.

Students who believe they may qualify are encouraged to apply for GI Bill benefits. After receiving approval and obtaining a Certificate of Eligibility, you can apply those benefits by filling out this form.

The Stony Brook University Office of Military and Veteran Student Services is available to answer questions for students and has published a video guide on how to apply for a Certificate of Eligibility.

Refunds and Withdrawals

Details regarding refunds and withdrawals deadlines and amounts can be found on School of Health Professions Certificate Program Tuition and Fees website.

Housing

Students can seek housing on-campus by visiting the Campus Residences website. Students may also seek off-campus housing independently or by using the Stony Brook University Off-Campus Housing website to find rental opportunities.

Students should note that those enrolled in post-baccalaureate noncredit clinical programs are not guaranteed on-campus housing.
