Rosalia Casanova-Charles, OTD, OTR/L Clinical Assistant Professor |
Dr. Casanova-Charles earned her Post-Professional OTD at Boston University, and from Stony Brook University, earned both her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. She has extensive geriatric, adult rehab, physical disabilities, and management experience and her expertise includes NYS Medicare and Medicaid SNF regulating compliance, ACOTE Fieldwork standards and compliance, and quality assurance in clinical education.
Dr. Casanova-Charles' research interests include burnout prevention and cultural competency in occupational therapy. She has three years of teaching experience in a graduate Master’s Occupational Therapy Program and undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology. Dr. Casanova-Charles continues to clinically practice in adult rehabilitation, physical disabilities, and geriatric populations.
