Kristen J. Lubliner, PT, DPT, MS is a licensed physical therapist with nearly two decades of diverse clinical and leadership experience across acute care, rehabilitation and community-based physical therapy settings.
Dr. Lubliner earned her Doctorate and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. She is a proud graduate of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship which she completed at the University of Rochester while obtaining her DPT. She began her clinical career at Montefiore Medical Center where she treated patients across acute care, rehabilitation and outpatient settings before advancing to a senior physical therapist role. In this capacity, she contributed to staff development, mentorship and professional advocacy initiatives.
She later served as Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services at South Shore University Hospital, where she led interdisciplinary teams of physical, occupational and speech therapists and managed clinical operations. Prior to transitioning fully into academia, Dr. Lubliner provided patient-centered, evidence-based care as a home care physical therapist with Catholic Home Care, further expanding her experience across the continuum of care.
Dr. Lubliner is a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and holds certification through Pacific Therapy Education Inc. in lymphedema management. She is also actively engaged in community service and advocacy, including volunteer leadership with the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County and involvement with the National PKU Alliance, an organization supporting individuals with Phenylketonuria (PKU). She has served as a facilitator for the rare disease community during caregiver support groups for individuals and families managing a rare disease diagnosis.
Since 2021, Dr. Lubliner has worked at Stony Brook University as a teaching assistant in Foundations of Patient Care and as a teaching assistant and lab instructor in Cardiopulmonary PT I. She currently teaches courses in Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology. Her clinical and research interests include the role of physical therapy in the management of chronic health conditions, medically complex patient populations and individuals with rare diseases.
