Dr. Cindy Bravo is an accomplished healthcare executive, educator, and clinical leader with nearly three decades of experience spanning clinical respiratory care, academic program leadership, and hospital quality operations. She brings an extensive background in driving clinical excellence, patient safety, and organizational strategy. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, she maintains an active clinical presence as a staff respiratory therapist.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bravo has held significant administrative and quality-focused leadership roles, including serving as the Executive Director of Surgical Services at Kings County Hospital, Director of Quality and Patient Safety at Blythedale Children’s Hospital and the Director of Clinical Education at Long Island University. An expert in Interprofessional Education (IPE), her doctoral research at Rutgers University focused on developing competencies and assessment tools to optimize collaborative interprofessional healthcare teams. Her academic contributions also include consulting on regional curriculum design and earning the prestigious CoARC Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award for six consecutive years.
Dr. Bravo holds a PhD in Health Sciences from Rutgers University, a Master of Public Administration from Marist College, and a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from Long Island University. She is a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in neonatal and pediatric care, and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
