Ms. Diane Henry-Vanisko received a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science/Biology from Southampton College, Southampton, NY and a Master of Science in Marine Environmental Science from Stony Brook University with completion of a DEC/Brookhaven National Laboratory molecular biology thesis on the characterization of an aquaculturally significant marine phytoplankton, Isochrysis galbana. The majority of her career she served as laboratory manager, researcher, and peer reviewed author in two NIH funded laboratories at Stony Brook University: Dr. Kenneth Marcu, Biochemistry and Cellular Biology studying antibody class switching in B cells and Dr. Gary G. Matthews, Neurobiology and Behavior studying ion channel genes in bipolar cells of the retina.
Ms. Diane Henry-Vanisko is now responsible for laboratory supply management, lab maintenance, lab safety, and assistance to professors in clinical teaching labs.
