Step 1: Apply Online
Students interested in applying for the program for the summer 2025 term will be able to apply starting on August 1, 2024 via the SUNY App.
There is a $50 application fee.
All students applying to the CLS Program should complete the SUNY application. This includes:
- Students with a previous degree
- Current Stony Brook students
- Transfer undergraduate students

Step 2: Submit the Supplemental Application in the StartSBU Portal
Once your application is submitted and processed, you will receive an email with your login to the StartSBU portal.
All supplemental application materials must be submitted by the deadline: March 1

Have your transcript(s) sent from every college/university you have attended electronically or mailed to Stony Brook University, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 118 Administration Building, Stony Brook, NY 11794-1901.

Transcript(s) must include completed or in-progress required prerequisites.

All outstanding prerequisite coursework must be posted on the official transcript(s) and your transcript(s) must be submitted and evaluated prior to the first day of classes.

Application Deadline: March 1
- Read and consider the Technical Standards for the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program.
- If you have any fall courses in progress, we recommend waiting to submit your application until your fall grades have been posted.
- This program requires students to be enrolled full time.
- Your application will be reviewed by the CLS Program Admissions Committee. If eligible you will be contacted to schedule an interview.
