 Health, Interpersonal, and Financial Resources

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers free and confidential services to enrolled students.

The Student Support Team coordinates efforts to assist students who encounter challenges or concerns in achieving success at Stony Brook University, ranging from health to financial difficulties.

Center for Prevention and Outreach (CPO) offers a wide range of prevention and early intervention services and education focused on alcohol and other drugs, mental health and sexual assault issues.

Financial Aid and Scholarships assists students with state and federal aid, along with scholarships and loans.

Office of Equity and Access: Title IX Information and ReportIt contains resources for victims of harassment and sexual violence.

Survivor Advocate & Prevention Specialist is a confidential resource for students who have experienced sexual or relationship violence.

Student Health Services offers free primary health care to enrolled students.

Student Conduct and Community Standards receives, investigates, and resolves alleged violations of the Code of Student Responsibility involving (non-academic) misconduct by students.

Campus lactation rooms are specifically dedicated for the purpose of offering a quiet, comfortable, and private space for breastfeeding parents to express breastmilk during the hours they spend on campus.

The Seawolves Food Pantry serves Stony Brook community members (students, staff, and faculty) who are food insecure, or who are at risk of food insecurity.

The Stony Brook University Writing Center is committed to helping writers through one-on-one tutoring sessions that focus on each individual's needs.

The Students Accessibility Support Center enables students with disabilities to develop their academic potential by making their academic experience accessible.
