Deirdre J. Dolan, whose Gaelic first name is pronounced "DEER-druh", was born and raised on Long Island right near Stony Brook. She attended SUNY Plattsburgh, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. After a long tenure with Citibank in project management and data, reporting, and analysis roles, Deirdre returned home and set out to pursue a career in Higher Education. She started with SBU in 2024 in the Student Financial Services department on West Campus, where she worked on creating metrics and revamping various procedures for the Campus Card office. She has a rescue dog named Pippin and a Quaker parrot. In her free time, she volunteers for CEED LI, and enjoys kayaking, painting, and wildlife photography.
