Lauren Lozier earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2008, followed by a Master of Health Sciences with a concentration in Physician Assistant studies from Drexel University in 2012. After graduating in 2013, Lauren began working in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stony Brook Hospital. After some time, she transitioned within the department to the Cerebrovascular Service, where she gained valuable experience taking care of critically ill stroke patients while mentoring new hires within her department. Realizing she enjoyed educating new Physician Assistants, in 2021, Lauren accepted a position at Touro University as an Adjunct Professor, lecturing first-year PA students. In 2022, Lauren transitioned to outpatient medicine with a concentration in medical dermatology. Lauren is credentialed at the Department of Neurosurgery and works per diem and is excited to pursue a larger role in Physician Assistant education at Stony Brook. Lauren resides on the south shore of Long Island and, in her spare time, enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
