Professor Kinkade has more than twenty-five years of professional experience in the field of public health. As a public health educator, Ms. Kinkade has trained health and human service professionals on state and national levels through funding from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Trainings and educational programs conducted by Professor Kinkade include a variety of health-related issues which include; HIV/AIDS, STDs, domestic violence, cultural competency etc., for health care professionals. Professor Kinkade has also developed and implemented health-related trainings, presentations and workshops for specific populations, including teens, persons living with HIV, faith-based institutions, and community-based organizations.
Professor Kinkade teaches Communication Skills as one of the core courses for the Health Science major during the fall and several courses in the Public Health/Community Health concentration during the spring.
