| Coursework provides students with an overview of the organization of the health care delivery system and includes the role of health care professionals and health care organizations. In addition, coursework explores issues regardinghealth care insurance, the uninsured and underserved, managed care and changes in the health care marketplace. Provided is an overview of major diseases including epidemics, chronic and acute illness discussion regarding the role of health promotion and disease prevention, as well as alternative and complementary medicine. Prerequisite: restricted to Health Science seniors. |
