The School of Health Professions is dedicated to providing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for its students, faculty, and staff. These principles are carried out through our teaching, research, and service, as well as our admissions practices, and our student, faculty and staff recruitment, retention and progression practices. In order to ensure that our constituents have access to DEI resources, training, and the tools needed to foster a culture of belonging, the School of Health Professions’ Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was created.
As we educate our future healthcare professionals, we strive to strengthen their desire to protect and care for all, to provide access to care for all, to offer compassion and show empathy to all, regardless of race, gender, religion, and other differences. As educators and those who support healthcare education, we want to ensure the same access to education for all, ensure the same opportunities to flourish and succeed, and prepare our next generation of exemplary healthcare professionals to go out into the world with the same ethics and values that we hold so dear.
