Sheri-Ann Best is the owner of, and psychotherapist at, Broadhollow Psychotherapy PLLC (Farmingdale, New York). She holds two Bachelor's Degrees, as well as her Masters of Social Work from SUNY Stony Brook. She completed two Post Graduate Certifications in Trauma Studies and Addiction Studies from Adelphi University.
Sheri-Ann’s career began in child and family services, working with a variety of populations ranging from residential placement, youth mentoring, homeless services, and domestic violence survivors. In 2003, she became a Licensed Master Social Worker and focused on mental health treatment. During that same year, she began working at the Mental Health Association of Nassau County (Hempstead, NY). She left that position as Director of Care Coordination in 2018. She also worked at the former Roosevelt Counseling and Resource Center (Roosevelt, NY), as a psychotherapist.
In 2011, fulfilling a lifelong dream, Sheri-Ann launched what is today, a thriving group practice, Broadhollow Psychotherapy PLLC. BHP's focus is minority mental health, increasing mental wellness and Trauma recovery, through traditional psychotherapy, as well as alternative methods, such as yoga, reiki, and meditation. Sheri-Ann is a proud member of the National Association of Professional Women, Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce and the Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Work.
