About the Program
The Advanced Certificate in Health Care Management (ACHCM) is designed to provide knowledge and skills needed to address the health care needs and managerial demands of health care today. This program explores health care as it relates to diverse populations in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, private practices, health agencies, not-for-profit organizations, county health departments, commercial laboratories, and ambulatory care centers. This program is especially well suited for those with a Bachelor’s degree who are seeking to develop a management background to enhance their existing health care careers or to those with managerial experience who desire knowledge and training in the health care fields.
In this program, students will:

• Apply the skills of management and administration to the health setting
• Understand how matters of ethics and policy relate to health care today
